About

Meet Sydney Wanguhu, an arts and culture journalist, host, and interviewer whose work reflects the energy and nuance of the communities she covers. Originally from the Bay Area and now based in Los Angeles, she grew up surrounded by music and always imagined herself behind a mic. That early curiosity evolved into a commitment to storytelling that moves with purpose.

Sydney began her career at Youth Radio, the multimedia nonprofit where she covered arts and culture and discovered how powerful stories can be when they’re told across different platforms. Since then, she’s explored podcast production, hosted live shows, interviewed a wide range of creative voices, and spent time on set—spaces where her instinct for conversation and connection comes through naturally.

Her approach is warm but intentional, the kind of presence that encourages people to open up and offer something real. Influenced by a multicultural upbringing and a lifelong connection to music, Sydney brings a perspective that feels grounded, contemporary, and attuned to the cultural moment.

Whether she’s producing, interviewing, or shaping a story, Sydney aims for more than relatability. She creates work that resonates—stories that let audiences see part of themselves while exploring someone else’s world.
